Paper Jam
Issue:
The printer stops printing mid-job and displays a “paper jam” error message.
Problem Cause:
Paper jams typically happen due to:
- Misaligned paper in the tray
- Overfilled paper tray
- Dust or debris on the rollers
- Using damaged, curled, or damp paper
Solutions:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open all accessible panels (input tray, output tray, back cover) and gently remove any jammed sheets.
- Carefully remove any small paper scraps left inside.
- Reload fresh paper, ensuring:
- The sheets are properly aligned
- You’re not exceeding the tray’s capacity
- The paper is clean, dry, and in good condition
- If jams happen frequently, clean the paper feed rollers to remove dust or residue.
