Paper Jam

Issue:

The printer stops printing mid-job and displays a “paper jam” error message.

Problem Cause:

Paper jams typically happen due to:

  • Misaligned paper in the tray
  • Overfilled paper tray
  • Dust or debris on the rollers
  • Using damaged, curled, or damp paper

Solutions:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open all accessible panels (input tray, output tray, back cover) and gently remove any jammed sheets.
  • Carefully remove any small paper scraps left inside.
  • Reload fresh paper, ensuring:
    • The sheets are properly aligned
    • You’re not exceeding the tray’s capacity
    • The paper is clean, dry, and in good condition
  • If jams happen frequently, clean the paper feed rollers to remove dust or residue.
